Hong Kong Real Estate: Last week, 69 second-hand transactions in Hong Kong's top 20 housing estates hit the second highest in more than 1 year

The Zhitong Finance App learned that Wang Pindi, director of the Hong Kong Real Estate Research Department, said that according to figures recorded by the Frontline Branch, the top 20 major housing estates in Hong Kong recorded 69 second-hand sales transactions last week (March 11 to March 17). Although this is a decrease of about 14.8% from the previous week (March 4 to March 10), it is still the second highest in over a year.

Second-hand housing estate transactions in Hong Kong Island, Kowloon and the New Territories performed on a weekly basis last week. Among them, the 10 target housing estates in the Kowloon district recorded 31 transactions last week, a decrease of about 6.1% from 33 the previous week. The four target housing estates on Hong Kong Island recorded 18 transactions last week, a decrease of 10% from 20 in the previous week; among them, the Haiyi Peninsula recorded 6 transactions, a decrease of about 45.5% from the previous week's 11; Lei King Wan decreased from 2 transactions in the previous week to “zero transactions” last week; in contrast, Taikoo Shing recorded 11 transactions, an increase of about 83.3% over the previous week's 6.

The six target housing estates in the New Territories recorded 20 transactions last week, a decrease of about 28.6% from 28 in the previous week. Among them, Tseung Kwan O Centre, Weijing Bayside and East Point City each recorded 1 transaction. The number of “zero transaction” housing estates last week was 3, unchanged from week to week, accounting for 15% of the top 20 housing estates, including Lei King Wan, Cheung Lung Wan and Banyan Garden.
