Analysts Just Published A Bright New Outlook For Turtle Beach Corporation's (NASDAQ:HEAR)

Simply Wall St ·  Mar 15 14:39

Turtle Beach Corporation (NASDAQ:HEAR) shareholders will have a reason to smile today, with the analysts making substantial upgrades to this year's forecasts. Consensus estimates suggest investors could expect greatly increased statutory revenues and earnings per share, with the analysts modelling a real improvement in business performance. The market may be pricing in some blue sky too, with the share price gaining 36% to US$13.95 in the last 7 days. Could this upgrade be enough to drive the stock even higher?

After the upgrade, the six analysts covering Turtle Beach are now predicting revenues of US$376m in 2024. If met, this would reflect a sizeable 46% improvement in sales compared to the last 12 months. Losses are expected to turn into profits real soon, with the analysts forecasting US$0.83 in per-share earnings. Prior to this update, the analysts had been forecasting revenues of US$295m and earnings per share (EPS) of US$0.34 in 2024. There has definitely been an improvement in perception recently, with the analysts substantially increasing both their earnings and revenue estimates.

It will come as no surprise to learn that the analysts have increased their price target for Turtle Beach 29% to US$19.80 on the back of these upgrades.

Looking at the bigger picture now, one of the ways we can make sense of these forecasts is to see how they measure up against both past performance and industry growth estimates. One thing stands out from these estimates, which is that Turtle Beach is forecast to grow faster in the future than it has in the past, with revenues expected to display 46% annualised growth until the end of 2024. If achieved, this would be a much better result than the 1.0% annual decline over the past five years. Compare this against analyst estimates for the broader industry, which suggest that (in aggregate) industry revenues are expected to grow 5.1% annually. Not only are Turtle Beach's revenues expected to improve, it seems that the analysts are also expecting it to grow faster than the wider industry.

The Bottom Line

The most important thing to take away from this upgrade is that analysts upgraded their earnings per share estimates for this year, expecting improving business conditions. They also upgraded their revenue estimates for this year, and sales are expected to grow faster than the wider market. With a serious upgrade to expectations and a rising price target, it might be time to take another look at Turtle Beach.

Even so, the longer term trajectory of the business is much more important for the value creation of shareholders. At Simply Wall St, we have a full range of analyst estimates for Turtle Beach going out to 2026, and you can see them free on our platform here..
