BofA analysts highlighted four bull stocks Citigroup (NYSE:C), Construction Partners (NASDAQ:ROAD), Datadog (NASDAQ:DDOG), and Nvidia (NVDA), and two bear stocks Mid-America Apartment (MAA), and Mosaic (MOS), in their Wednesday Stock Flash report.
Bull stocks:
- Citigroup Inc. (C) - The stock has an upside breakout from a “double bottom” pattern since the October 2022 and October 2023 lows. “This bullish pattern remains intact above breakout point support at 54.50-52.50, and shows upside potential to 69-70.” Current price is $57.30.
- Construction Partners (ROAD) - The stock had a breakout from its big base from November 2021 through February. Its setup is “firmly in place” above 45 and has an upside potential to reach 70. Current price is $52.18.
- Datadog Inc. (DDOG) - The stock had a breakout and a retest from mid-2022 into late 2023 in a “head and shoulders” pattern. “Holding 118-110, which is underpinned by rising weekly moving averages from 125 to 105, keeps the ‘head and shoulders’ bottom breakout intact with upside potential to the pattern count near 172,” analysts said. Current price is $123.38.
- Nvidia Corp. (NVDA) - The stock has exceeded upside projections. Analysts see more room for continuous upside with potential to reach 1,100-1,120. Current price is $877.82.
Bear stocks:
- Mid-America Apartment Communities Inc. (MAA) - The stock is at risk to break down from “a bearish consolidation” since late 2021. “Holding below 135-140 would keep the downtrend firmly in place,” analysts said. “A decisive break below 125-122 would confirm a late October 2023 into March 2024 bearish continuation pattern with risk below the late 2023 low of 115.56 toward the pattern count at 103.” Current price is $129.84.
- The Mosaic Co. (MOS) - The stock continues to breakdown within its April 2022 trend. If it holds below, or within, the 32.46-35.35 area, it “would keep the technical setup negative with downside risk to 22 (May 2023 breakdown count) and 20 (February 2024 breakdown count),” analysts said. Current price is $31.56.
