Embraer Deploys Dassault's Simulation Technology For Eve Air Mobility: Details

Benzinga ·  Mar 14 07:57

Embraer S.A. (NYSE:ERJ) has selected Dassault Systemes SA's (OTC:DASTY) simulation technology to simulate, analyze and test virtually Eve Holding, Inc (NYSE:EVEX) Eve Air Mobility's electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft.

Dassault's SIMULIA PowerFLOW application provides fluid dynamics simulation to predict real-world operating conditions, helping Embraer and Eve's engineers to decide how the aircraft flies and test its sound emission.

"One of the main advantages of eVTOL aircraft is that they are electrically powered and a more sustainable option than combustion-powered aircraft. However, they are meant to operate in urban areas, making noise reduction a key driver in their design," said David Ziegler, Vice President, Aerospace & Defense Industry, Dassault Systèmes.

Embraer has been collaborating with Eve along with global partners to provide more reliable, affordable, sustainable, integrated and human-centric Urban Air Mobility (UAM) solutions.

In July 2023, Embraer and Eve announced that Eve's first eVTOL production facility will be located in the city of Taubaté, in the state of São Paulo, Brazil.

Eve's eVTOL is scheduled to begin deliveries and enter into service in 2026.

Price Action: ERJ shares closed higher by 0.94% at $21.44 on Wednesday.
