Dentsu Group appoints Shirley Zelser as Chief Data and Technology Officer

The Dentsu Group (brand: “dentsu”; headquarters: Dentsu Group, Inc.; location: Minato-ku, Tokyo; representative: Hiroshi Igarashi, President and Global CEO; hereafter, “Our Group”) has newly appointed Shirli Zelcer (Shirli Zelcer) as a member of the Group Management Team as a newly established “Chief Data & Technology Officer.” In the future, Shirley will oversee all of Dentsu's data-driven and technology-enabled products and platforms to support clients' business transformation and sustainable growth.

Shirley has over 20 years of combined experience in the fields of analytics and insights, business advisory and organizational design, AI and data science, and cloud and marketing technology. Most recently, as head of the analytics and technology department at Merkle (Merkle), he led a global division consisting of more than 5,600 engineers across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC regions. In the future, in his new role, he will work closely with Global President - Gene Lin, who is in charge of global practices, and will lead the formulation, development, and creation of commercial impact related to data and technology strategies within Dentsu's practice, particularly in media, CXM, and creative areas. Furthermore, by leading teams newly formed from each practice and promoting consistency and interoperability, we will further integrate capabilities and provide better solutions to clients.

Note that the position of “Chief Data & Technology Officer” is overseen by Michael Komasinski, CEO of Dentsu Americas and Global President of Dentsu Group Inc. - Data & Technology.
