According to Zhitong Finance App, DES Holdings (08437) announced that DES (Hong Kong) Holdings Limited (DES Hong Kong), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company, has received a writ of summons issued by Health Link Investment Limited (as plaintiff) (plaintiff) in the Court of First Instance of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region High Court. As stated in the statement of claim, the plaintiff claimed the right to vacant tenure of the relevant premises leased to DES Hong Kong in accordance with the tenancy agreement between the plaintiff and DES Hong Kong on or around July 12, 2022; the amount of HK$98,400 (i.e. rent, management fees, rates, floor rent and accrued interest payable by DES Hong Kong under the tenancy agreement); related indirect profits, management fees, rates and floor rent; alleging damages for breach of the tenancy agreement; and related costs and further relief.
The company is currently seeking legal advice on the lawsuit.
