Jinwu Financial News | Wharf Group (00004) announced that for the full year of 2023, profit attributable to shareholders was $945 million (HKD, same below), compared with a loss of $1,705 billion for the same period last year, turning a year-on-year loss into a profit. Basic earnings per share were $0.31. It is proposed to pay a second interim dividend of $0.2 per share, for a total of $0.4 for the full year.
During the period, the Group's revenue was 18.95 billion yuan, up 4.9% year on year.
Looking at details, investment property revenue fell slightly by 1% to 4.843 billion yuan, and operating profit fell slightly by 1% to 3.207 billion yuan. In RMB terms, income from investment properties in the Mainland increased by 4%, and operating profit increased by 2%.
Revenue from development properties increased 15% to $8.562 billion, and operating profit increased 32% to $1,232 billion, mainly due to confirmed receipts from Hong Kong Hilltop Property in the third quarter of this year.
Logistics revenue decreased by 20% to $2.37 billion, and operating profit decreased by 50% to $378 million, mainly due to a decrease in throughput and a decrease in container yard revenue due to weakening market trade activity.
Investment operating profit increased 34% to $2.03 billion, due to an increase in dividend income.
