Furthermore, former US President Trump hinted that his administration would not use regulatory powers to crack down on Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies if he is re-elected as president.
Influenced by the news, Bitcoin hit another record high on Monday, breaking the $72,000 mark for the first time. The latest market capitalization reached 1.43 trillion US dollars, surpassing silver and becoming the eighth largest asset by market capitalization in the world. Bitcoin has been rising rapidly recently, with a cumulative increase of more than 60% since this year. In February alone, it surged nearly 45%, the biggest increase since December 2020.
