According to the Zhitong Finance App, Huakong Kangtai (01312) announced that it is expected that the Group will obtain a comprehensive net loss of about HK$49 million to HK$73.6 million in the 2023 fiscal year, while the year ended 31 December 2022 (FY2022) will have a consolidated net loss of approximately HK$52.8 million (after tax loss of approximately HK$110 million after tax from the Group's continuing operations in the 2022 fiscal year and profit after tax of about HK$56.9 million).
The anticipated consolidated net loss for fiscal year 2023 comes from the Group's continuing operations. The decrease in revenue and gross profit of the Group's pharmaceutical business segment is due to adverse effects of adjustments in health insurance policies in mainland China; shrinking customer demand due to weak macroeconomic conditions; and the sale of subsidiaries in this segment; and the increase in expected credit losses from the Group's accounts receivable for fiscal year 2023 compared to fiscal year 2022.
