According to news, the Global Game Developers Conference (GDC for short) will be held in San Francisco from March 18 to March 22. CITIC Construction Investment pointed out that looking back at the 2023 GDC conference, AI became the biggest keyword. Leading companies in the industry such as Microsoft, Ubisoft, and Roblox shared how AI revolutionized game production/operation, including reducing costs and increasing efficiency and creating new gameplay, which also drove the A-share game sector to rise sharply.
The bank stated that it will focus on this year's GDC conference's catalysis of the gaming sector. Microsoft, Nvidia, Unity, Tencent and NetEase will attend the conference. As can be seen from the conference theme, AI has penetrated more production processes and more game categories. The bank believes that sector valuations are at a historically low level, pressure on the policy side is gradually being eliminated, and the product cycle is approaching in late March.
