USP Group Limited's (SGX:BRS) 40% Dip Still Leaving Some Shareholders Feeling Restless Over Its P/SRatio

The USP Group Limited (SGX:BRS) share price has fared very poorly over the last month, falling by a substantial 40%. To make matters worse, the recent drop has wiped out a year's worth of gains with the share price now back where it started a year ago.

Although its price has dipped substantially, you could still be forgiven for feeling indifferent about USP Group's P/S ratio of 0.1x, since the median price-to-sales (or "P/S") ratio for the Trade Distributors industry in Singapore is also close to 0.3x. However, investors might be overlooking a clear opportunity or potential setback if there is no rational basis for the P/S.

How USP Group Has Been Performing

For example, consider that USP Group's financial performance has been poor lately as its revenue has been in decline. Perhaps investors believe the recent revenue performance is enough to keep in line with the industry, which is keeping the P/S from dropping off.
