Unity Software Inc. (NYSE:U) inked a new partnership with Mazda Motor Corp. (OTC:MZDAF) to develop a next-generation in-cabin car experience that will deliver a seamless on-road experience for drivers.
Mazda's collaboration aims to enhance cockpit HMI with a new GUI, set for models from 2025-2027 under its 2030 Management Policy.
Over the past five years, Unity has seen several successful implementations of its real-time 3D platform, supporting advancements in the automotive industry.
With Mazda, Unity looks to support HMI advancement and showcase how real-time 3D technology can support longer-term transformation plans for automotive manufacturers.
By embedding applications created with and optimized through Unity into in-car devices, Mazda expects to advance high-performance capabilities that are more attractive and intuitive for its customers.
"In the cockpit HMI area, Mazda will continue to evolve the interface between the human and car based on the 'human centric' development concept in order to deliver exciting mobility experiences," said Michihiro Imada, Mazda's Executive Officer in charge of Integrated Control System Development.
