According to the Zhitong Finance App, Central New Energy (01735) announced that the group expects to achieve a net profit of not less than HK$70 million in 2023 and a net loss of about HK$30.3 million in 2022. The shift from net loss to net profit was mainly due to an increase in turnover in the reporting period compared with the same period in 2022; an increase in gross margin in the new energy and engineering, procurement and construction segments; fair value of investment properties included in profit and loss; provision for loss of trade and other receivables was refunded; and proceeds from the sale of subsidiaries.
