Latin Resources Ltd (ASX:LRS, OTC:LRSRF) has appointed Aaron Maurer as COO effective immediately, bringing a “distinguished portfolio of experience” in the mining industry to Latin, with a significant focus on lithium operations.
His career includes over five years in key roles at Mineral Resources Ltd (ASX:MIN), where he served as executive general manager - operations, overseeing the Mt Marion Lithium mine and its three iron ore operations.
At MinRes Maurer played a pivotal role in developing a culture of high performance across complex supply chains, including leadership of their significant capital investment and production growth for both lithium and iron ore assets for the business.
Maurer’s recent role as head of operations at Atlantic Lithium saw him spearhead the company's transition from exploration to near-term producer, overseeing the approvals and operational readiness of the first lithium mine in Ghana.
His strategic vision and hands-on management in Ghana underpinned Atlantic Lithium's reputation as industry pioneers in the region.
Maurer’s diverse experience spans across different continents and commodities, further enriching his expertise in operations management and strategic leadership. Prior to his time at MinRes, he held leadership positions at PVW Resources NL, Sydvaranger Gruve AS in Norway, Peabody Energy Australia, BHP Billiton (LON:BHPB) and Thiess.
Enhances the development team
