According to the Zhitong Finance App, Global Youyi Intelligence (08496) announced interim results for the six months ended December 31, 2023. The group achieved revenue of SGD 38.563 million, a decrease of 31.35%; loss attributable to the company's owners was SGD 194,900, a decrease of 64.04% year on year; loss per share was 0.08 Singapore cents.
According to the announcement, the reduction in losses was mainly due to the restoration of passenger traffic in bakeries; cost reduction methods implemented by the Group, including but not limited to reducing waste of raw materials and consumables and replacing more expensive materials with more affordable brands; and accruing impairment values of approximately SGD 1.8 million and SGD 1.2 million for the year ended June 30, 2023, respectively, on right-of-use assets and plant and equipment assets, thereby reducing depreciation costs for right-of-use assets and plant and equipment assets.
