According to the Zhitong Finance App, Baolian Holdings (08201) announced interim results for the six months ended December 31, 2023. The group achieved revenue of HK$237 million, an increase of 23.43%; profit attributable to the company owners was HK$4.783 million, an increase of 92.24% over the previous year; profit per share was 0.89 HK cents.
According to the announcement, the increase in revenue was mainly due to the acquisition of several new service contracts in the residential division and transportation division, which increased the revenue contribution of Hong Kong's environmental and cleaning services by about HK$48.4 million; and the net effect of a decrease in interest income from the money lending business of about HK$3.1 million after the average loan balance and average loan interest rate granted by the Group during the period decreased.
