Gelonghui, Feb. 28 | Green Energy Technology Group (00979.HK) announced that for the six months ended December 31, 2023, the Group's revenue was approximately HK$38.6 million, a decrease of about 16.5% over the same period last year. The decrease in revenue was mainly due to the renewable energy business segment and the discontinued healthcare business.
The net loss attributable to company owners during the period was approximately HK$4,600,000 (same period in 2022: approximately HK$9,500,000), a decrease of 51.6% compared with the same period last year. The net profit of the renewable energy business segment tripled as a result of a shift in the completion strategy to high-value-added operations that collect and process waste cooking oil. Furthermore, the sale of the healthcare business in June 2023 ended losses from the discontinued healthcare business segment. In the same period last year, it recorded a net loss of approximately HK$2,300,000.
