Minsheng Securities: Nvidia giants are entering the robotics industry at an accelerated pace

Zhitong Finance ·  Feb 25 17:45

Minsheng Securities released a research report saying that in 2024, as the year of robotics, technology giants such as Nvidia (NVDA.US), Microsoft (MSFT.US), and OpenAI will enter the market and will lead the industry to accelerate further.

The Zhitong Finance App learned that Minsheng Securities released a research report saying that in 2024, as the year of robotics, technology giants such as Nvidia (NVDA.US), Microsoft (MSFT.US), and OpenAI will enter the market, leading the industry to accelerate further. It is recommended to focus on the core partner Obi Zhongguang (688322.SH) in the field of NV robotics, as well as sensor circuits: Minxin Co., Ltd. (688286.SH), Hanwei Technology (300007.SZ), and Ampelon (301413.SZ).

Minsheng Securities's views are as follows:

The Nvidia giant enters the market, and the robotics industry accelerates again.

On February 24, Nvidia founded GEAR, and robots came to life. GEAR's full name is Universal Embodied Intelligence Research. The new department is led by Jim Fan and Professor Yuke Zhu, a senior AI research scientist and head of the AI agency program. It aims to build a basic model of embodied intelligence suitable for virtual and physical worlds, and is committed to realizing intelligent applications across multiple modes and multiple scenarios. Nvidia believes that in the future, every mobile machine will be autonomous, and robots and simulated agents will be as ubiquitous as iPhones.

The era of physical intelligence has arrived, and humanoid robots have opened up a trillion blue ocean.

Hwang In-hoon proposed “the next wave of artificial intelligence is physical intelligence” in May 23, and the robot industry has entered the era of embodied intelligence. Compared with traditional industrial robots, collaborative robots, etc., embodied intelligent robots have the characteristics of a high degree of intelligence, few work scenarios, and the ability to independently plan complex tasks, making them a must-compete place for domestic and foreign technology giants and scientific research institutions. Currently, overseas Microsoft, Google, Li Feifei teams, Tesla, China's iFLYX, Dafeng Robotics, Alidamo Academy, Zhiyuan Robotics, and Yushu Technology have all launched embedded intelligent systems or robot products. Musk predicted at Tesla's shareholders' meeting in 2023 that the number of humanoid robots in the world is expected to reach 10 billion to 20 billion units in the future, and humanoid robots will open up a trillion-level blue ocean market.

Follow NV Robotics Partners.

Nvidia has cooperated with Chase Technology, DriveU, Hesai Technology, No. 9 Company, Obi Zhongguang, QT Company, and Yushu Technology in the field of robotics. Among them, Obi Zhongguang focuses on the 3D visual perception business. As a core partner in Nvidia's robotics business, it is expected to fully benefit from robotics technology in the year that binds giant+card position vision & computing power.

1) At the hardware level, Obi, Nvidia, and Microsoft jointly developed the 3DITOF camera FemtoMega for mass production and global release;

2) At the ecological level, it is deeply integrated with the NVIDIA Omniverse ecosystem. Perseen1, a 3D development kit developed in collaboration, integrates various 3D cameras into the NVIDIA robot simulation development platform IsaacSim. Obi has reached business cooperation with many robotics customers such as Premium Choice, Standard, Yunji Technology, and Gaoxian Robotics. In addition to NV, the Femto series iTOF camera developed by Obi in collaboration with Microsoft covers three products to help global developers develop multiple 3D visual depth sensing applications on the Microsoft Azure cloud computing platform through the company's 3D cameras.

GTC 2024 will unveil breakthrough robotics results.

Nvidia will host the GTC 2024 conference on March 18-21. At the conference, Hwang In-hoon will present the latest breakthroughs in the fields of accelerated computing, generative AI, and robotics. Many of the world's leading robotics companies will be showcasing the next generation of autonomous machines at the event. Companies such as Agility Robotics, Boston Dynamics, Disney, and Google DeepMind will be exhibiting 25 robots, including humanoid robots, industrial robots, etc.

Risk factors: Increased market competition; risk that the development and expansion of new robot products falls short of expectations.
