The Zhitong Finance App learned that Hong Kong Telecom (06823) Group Managing Director Xu Hanqing said at the annual results online conference that the Group cooperated with different popular travel destinations to launch roaming services that meet customer needs, and is confident that the momentum will continue, driving roaming revenue growth of at least 30% in 2024. HKT's total roaming revenue increased 1.76 times year-on-year last year. Personal outbound roaming revenue in December last year even surpassed pre-pandemic levels in 2019.
Xu Hanqing said that the corporate business was one of the highlights of last year's performance; among them, local data revenue increased by 10%. By the end of last year, the total contract value for new projects for corporate clients was over HK$4 billion, an increase of 20% year-on-year. In the Mainland, corporate business revenue increased significantly by 32% last year, reaching over HK$700 million. Xu Hanqing said that related revenue is expected to reach the target of HK$1 billion this year.
According to the 2023 results announced by HKT, the company's total revenue for the period was HK$34.33 billion, up 1% year on year; profit of HK$4.991 billion, up 2% year on year; the basic profit per share contract position was HK$65.89, and the final allocation for each share contract position was HK$44.44, so the total distribution for the whole year was HK$76.49.
