In January 2024, commercial vehicle production and sales completed 327,000 units and 324,000 units, respectively, down 10.7% and 11.1% from the previous month, and increased 66.2% and 79.6%, respectively.
In January 2024, production and sales of buses reached 35,000 units, down 35.3% and 36.5% from the previous month, and up 68.1% and 63.4%, respectively. Among bus segments, compared with the previous month, production and sales of all three types of buses showed a double-digit decline; compared with the same period last year, production and sales of all three types of buses increased to varying degrees.
In January 2024, truck production and sales completed 292,000 units and 289,000 units respectively, down 6.4% and 6.6% from the previous month, and up 65.9% and 81.8%, respectively. Among truck segments, compared with the previous month, production and sales of heavy trucks and medium trucks increased markedly, while production and sales of light trucks and minivans showed a double-digit decline; compared with the same period last year, production and sales of the four major categories of trucks increased to varying degrees.
