According to the Zhitong Finance App, Xima Ophthalmology (03309) issued an announcement. As part of the cross-border medical collaboration under the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government (Hong Kong Government) 2023 Policy Address, the Hong Kong Government of China announced on February 19, 2024 that Shenzhen Aikangjian Dental Hospital (Shenzhen Aikangjian Hospital) has been included as one of the seven medical institutions under the “Greater Bay Area Pilot Program” (Pilot Program). It is also the only dental hospital in the pilot program to cover the provision of dental services under the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (Greater Bay Area) Elderly Health Care Voucher. Approximately 1.7 million eligible elderly people in Hong Kong, China are expected to benefit from the pilot scheme.

In the process of selecting medical institutions in the Greater Bay Area for the pilot program, the Hong Kong Government of China has taken into account eight major factors, namely geographical location, service quality, management and operation experience, scope of services, service capacity, fee standards and levels, basic understanding of the operation of the Health Care Voucher Program for the Elderly, and whether there are any advantageous services.

Elderly people aged 65 or above meet the required requirements, that is, they are eligible to receive and use health vouchers to pay for private primary health care and dental services. Currently, each eligible person is issued a medical voucher of HK$2,000 per year.

The company is honored to participate in the program and hopes to use it to improve the medical services and promote the welfare of the elderly in the Greater Bay Area, thereby achieving the goal of promoting primary care and disease prevention for the elderly in Hong Kong, China.

Furthermore, on February 5, 2024, the company signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Shenzhen Luohu District Government for the construction of the Luohu Port Hong Kong-style Port Hospital.

The hospital is only a five-minute walk from the Lo Wu Port land crossing station. It is expected to become the first port hospital to use Hong Kong-style medical services. It brings Hong Kong-style medical management systems, medical technology and medical services to residents of Shenzhen and Hong Kong, enhances medical talents and technical exchanges between China and Hong Kong, and promotes deep integration and vigorous development between the two places.

According to the Group's current plan, the hospital will have departments such as dentistry, ophthalmology, medical imaging, physical examination, gynecology, traditional Chinese medicine, internal medicine, surgery and urology. The group plans to introduce more departments at a later stage; the hospital will operate in a seven-story building with a total floor area of more than 10,000 square meters. Together with the calculation of Shenzhen Aikangjian Hospital, the total operating floor area of the Group near Luohu Port is expected to be close to 20,000 square meters. The hospital is expected to be put into service around July 2024.

The Group anticipates that the establishment and operation of the hospital will drive the growth of the company's business and operations in the Greater Bay Area, establish new precedents and benchmarks in the development of providing high-quality cross-border medical services, and at the same time allow patients in need in mainland China to obtain Hong Kong-style medical services more quickly.
