According to Zhitong Finance AP News, MiBongyuan Universe (08645) announced that the group expects to make a net loss of about HK$11.019 million for the six months ended 31 December 2023, while the net profit for the six months ended 31 December 2022 was approximately HK$17.397 million.
According to the announcement, the expected loss was mainly due to revenue falling to HK$506.74 million, gross margin falling to about 28.7% from about 58.0% in the same period in 2022; sales expenses increased to HK$5.209 million, accounting for a loss of about HK$1.751 million in the associated company's performance.
