According to data released by Tongcheng Travel, the number of hotel reservations in major counties and towns across the country increased by more than 120% year on year. The counties with large increases in bookings were mainly distributed in cities such as Guangxi, Diqing, Huizhou, Yanbian, Fuzhou, and Huzhou.
The China Institute of Tourism Research predicts that in 2024, the country's domestic tourism revenue will exceed 6 trillion yuan, an increase of 22% year on year; international tourism revenue will reach 107 billion US dollars, an increase of 38% year on year. Domestic and international revenue recovered to 105% and 81% respectively in 2019, and the recovery may continue further.
