Singapore Shares End Higher; Mary Chia Revenue Plummets 23% as Fiscal Q4 Loss Widens

Singapore stocks were mostly in the positive territory at market close, after the Strait Times Index opened at 7.78 points to 3,148.34 on Tuesday morning, thanks to overnight gains in global markets.

During the day, the benchmark index ranged between 3,118.67 and 3,151.70, ending 0.11% higher at

3,141.87.

In corporate news, Mary Chia Holdings (SGX:50X) posted a wider fiscal third-quarter loss. Revenue for three months ended Dec. 31, 2023, plummeted 23% year over year to SG$2 million from SG$2.6 million.

Ntegrator Holdings (SGX:WVJ) narrowed its loss attributable to equity holders despite seeing its revenue for six months ended Dec. 31, 2023 falling more than 12% year over year due to lower sales.

Sembcorp Industries (SGX:U96) completed the acquisition of India Wind Assets, which led to the company's shares gaining 1% at market close.
