According to the Zhitong Finance App, Dadi Education (08417) announced results for the first three quarters of the nine months ended December 31, 2023. Revenue was approximately HK$9.3 million, a year-on-year decrease of about 1.5%. Shareholders of the company were responsible for losses of HK$6.737 million, a year-on-year decrease of 35.24%; loss per share was 0.36 HK cents.
According to the announcement, the decline in earnings was mainly due to the combined effects of a decrease in commission income from the UK and an increase in commission revenue from Australia. The decrease in net loss was mainly due to an increase in other income and a loss in the fair value of financial assets that were recorded as profit or loss at fair value during the period, while a loss of approximately HK$2.2 million was recorded in the same period in 2022.
