The increase in net profit is mainly due to an increase in gross profit. The increase in gross profit is mainly due to a combination of significant improvements in gross margin due to factors such as improvements in shipping costs, favorable revenue structures, manufacturing cost savings, and favorable foreign exchange rate fluctuations; while the increase in operating expenses, the increase in net interest costs due to the Federal Reserve's interest rate hike, and changes in income tax expenses partially offset the positive impact of the increase in gross profit on net profit.
