According to the Zhitong Finance App, Beihai Group (00701) issued an announcement. The expected shareholders' share loss for the financial year ended 31 December 2023 is about HK$62 million to HK$72 million, a decrease of 23.5% to 34.1% compared with the loss attributable to shareholders of HK$94.1 million for the year ended 31 December 2022 (fiscal year 2022).

According to the announcement, the estimated loss amount attributable to shareholders for the fiscal year 2023 was mainly due to a reduction in the classification loss of the business in fiscal year 2023 compared with the classification loss of the hotel business in fiscal year 2022; the net fair value loss obtained by the Group's investment properties in Hong Kong, China and mainland China on December 31, 2023 increased compared to the net fair value loss on December 31, 2022; and China Paint Group Co., Ltd. (01932), a non-wholly-owned subsidiary of the company, as of fiscal year 2023 Shareholders' share of losses is estimated to be reduced.
