Disney, Fox and Warner Brothers Discovery Reportedly Plan Joint Sports-Streaming Service

Disney-owned ESPN reportedly plans to team up with $Fox Corp-A (FOXA.US)$ and $Warner Bros Discovery (WBD.US)$ to launch a new sports-streaming service later this year.

CNBC cited unnamed sources after the market close on Tuesday as saying that the new service will premiere this fall, although it doesn’t yet have a name or subscription price.

The move comes as ESPN -- a unit of $Disney (DIS.US)$ -- struggles to maintain its business as consumers shift away from such traditional cable-TV networks.
