Gelonghui, Feb. 6: Agricultural Bank of China (01288.HK) issued an announcement. With approval from the State Financial Supervisory Authority and the People's Bank of China, the Bank publicly issued the “Agricultural Bank of China Co., Ltd. 2024 Secondary Capital Bonds (First Issue)” in the national interbank bond market, which was completed on February 6, 2024.
The total issuance scale of this issue is RMB 70 billion, divided into two types. Among them, the first type is a 10-year fixed interest rate bond with an issuance scale of 35 billion yuan, a coupon interest rate of 2.76%, and issuer redemption rights with preconditions at the end of the 5th year; type 2 is a 15-year fixed interest rate bond, with an issuance scale of 35 billion yuan, a coupon interest rate of 2.80%, and issuer redemption rights with preconditions at the end of the 10th year. The funds raised by the current bond will supplement the Bank's Tier 2 capital in accordance with applicable laws and regulatory approval.
