Gelonghui, January 30, China Construction International (01240.HK) announced that the Group was recently awarded two Hong Kong construction contracts, namely (i) the Hong Kong Housing Authority awarded a major contract (“Public Housing Contract”) to an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company on January 29, 2024 for the construction works of the public housing development project in San Kwai Street in Kwai Chung and the renovation and addition works of Mei Tin Estate in Shatin to the same company; and (ii) Hong Kong Green Sandpiper Investment Management Limited on January 8, 2024 for the delay in handing over the main contract in the Cainiao Smart Port area Affiliated assets The company awarded another major contract.
If all construction works described in these contracts are completed, the total contract value of these contracts is estimated to be approximately HK$1,137 million (including contingent amounts). The public housing contract is expected to be completed by the end of December 2026, while the deferred handover zone contract is expected to be completed in July 2026. Since the contract amount includes contingent payments, which may not necessarily be realized, the actual contract amount obtained by the Group from such contracts is not necessarily equal to the contract amount. The Board hereby discloses that no predictions or estimates of the Group's profits have been made in connection with the award of such contracts.
