Nearly 2 months after the board of directors passed the bill on the new governor, the appointment of the new bank governor of the Bank of Shanghai was officially settled.

On January 30, the Bank of Shanghai issued an announcement. The Shanghai Regulatory Bureau of the State Administration of Financial Supervision and Administration has approved the qualifications of Shi Hongmin as vice chairman and governor of the company.

According to his resume, Shi Hongmin, born in October 1968, graduated from Tsinghua University, majoring in technical economics, graduate student, master of engineering, and senior economist. Previously, Deputy Party Secretary, Executive Director, Deputy Governor and Chief Financial Officer of the Bank of Shanghai.

Shi Hongmin was the Deputy Director of Finance of the China Construction Bank Planning and Finance Department, Deputy Director of the Finance Department of the China Construction Bank Joint Stock Reform Leading Group Office, Senior Manager of the Policy System Department of the China Construction Bank's Shanghai Branch, Senior Manager of the Accounting and Settlement Department of China Construction Bank Credit Card Center, a member of the Party Committee, Assistant General Manager, and Deputy General Manager of the China Construction Bank Credit Card Center. Director of Shanghai Shangcheng Consumer Finance Co., Ltd., and the director of China UnionPay Co., Ltd.
