On January 20, the Ordos Industrial Internet Developers Conference hosted by the Ordos Municipal People's Government, National Energy Investment Group Co., Ltd., and hosted by Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., Ordos Big Data Center, and Ordos Innovation Investment Group Co., Ltd. was successfully held. At the conference, Inner Mongolia's first industrial internet platform with the industry AI model and industrial application mall as the core was unveiled. The platform was jointly built by the Ordos Innovation Investment Group and Huawei. The platform is centered on AI and Kuang Hong, and includes a full set of capabilities such as intelligent computing power, large industrial models, multiple pre-set algorithms, and application development environments. It is open and inclusive to industry chain partners, solving the current problems of AI promotion and application in the industry. The platform also uses a “front store, back factory” innovation model to support platform-based incubation innovation, transformation of results, and a closed loop of business. In September 2021, China Energy Group and Huawei joined forces to release Kuanghong's IoT operating system. In April 2023, Kuanghong Industrial Connectivity Innovation National Mine Safety Supervision Administration's Key Laboratory was unveiled in Ordos. According to relevant plans, the platform based on AI and Kuanghong is expected to connect 68 intelligent mines in 2024 and expand to 160 by 2025, becoming a smart bridge connecting mine production and ecological partner companies.

In 2023, all intelligent transformation projects for coal mines with an annual output of more than 1.8 million tons began in Shanxi Province, and 81 intelligent coal mines and 498 intelligent mining work surfaces were built. Up to now, a total of 118 intelligent coal mines and 1,491 intelligent mining work surfaces have been built in Shanxi Province. 281 coal mines have been built with intelligent coal mining work surfaces, with a production capacity of 747.5 million tons/year, accounting for 61.91% of the province's production capacity. Intelligent coal mines are gradually showing results in “reducing people, increasing safety, and improving efficiency”. The labor reduction rate on the intelligent coal mining work surface is about 30%, and the labor reduction rate on the excavation work surface is about 20%. Coal mining efficiency increased by an average of about 20%, yield increased by an average of more than 10%; tunneling efficiency increased by an average of about 23%, and monthly progress increased by an average of more than 10%. Next, Shanxi Province will shift from the current focus on intelligent construction of mining work surfaces to the stage of intelligent construction of all mines. In 2024, all large-scale (1.2 million tons/year or more) and disaster-severe production coal mines will begin intelligent construction in the province, and 150 new intelligent coal mines will be built in 2024.
