Gelonghui, January 9, 丨 China Medical Network (00383.HK) announced that the company expects to record profit attributable to shareholders in the 11 months ending November 30, 2023. Compared with (a) the same period in 2022, it recorded a loss of approximately HK$120 million; and (b) a loss of approximately HK$120 million for the previous year. This was mainly due to (i) an increase in the operating income of the medical segment as China relaxed epidemic prevention measures and economic recovery and social activities; (ii) a reduction in the cost of medical consumables; and (iii) an increase in interest income on bank deposits, which was partially offset by (iv) increased costs of medicines and pharmaceuticals; and (v) increased employee benefit expenses.
