(“Dongming Mining”) received an administrative penalty decision (Huhuanping (2024) No. 110001) issued by the Hulunbuir Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment.
The Hulunbuir Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment carried out an on-site inspection of the Dongming mining industry and found that the water quality and chemical oxygen demand, total nitrogen, and total phosphorus emissions from its drain samples exceeded the standards and did not comply with the regulations of the sewage discharge permit. According to Article 34 (1) of the “Regulations on the Administration of Sewage Permits” and the “Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Ecological Environment System Administrative Penalty Discretionary Benchmark Provisions (Trial)”, the Hulunbuir Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment made the following administrative penalty decisions on Dongming Mining: immediately correct environmental violations to ensure that water pollutants are discharged in accordance with standards; and a fine of RMB 577,334.
After the incident occurred, the company attached great importance to it and promptly urged Dongming Mining to actively take corrective measures, further strengthen wastewater treatment management, strengthen discharge testing, and do a solid job of discharging in accordance with standards to prevent the recurrence of such incidents. After the rectification of the Dongming mining industry, it has achieved stable emissions in line with standards. The company will take it as a warning, further enhance awareness of environmental compliance, regulate the compliance business behavior of subsidiary companies in strict accordance with the requirements of relevant laws and regulations, and effectively fulfill environmental protection responsibilities. Dongming Mining will pay the fine in full within the period required by the “Administrative Penalty Decision”. This penalty will not have a substantial impact on the production and operation of the company and Dongming Mining, and will not have a significant impact on the company's operating performance.
