When a single insider purchases stock, it is typically not a major deal. However, when multiple insiders purchase stock, like in QCR Holdings, Inc.'s (NASDAQ:QCRH) instance, it's good news for shareholders.

While insider transactions are not the most important thing when it comes to long-term investing, we would consider it foolish to ignore insider transactions altogether.

QCR Holdings Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

Over the last year, we can see that the biggest insider purchase was by Independent Director Brent Cobb for US$463k worth of shares, at about US$46.30 per share. Even though the purchase was made at a significantly lower price than the recent price (US$56.51), we still think insider buying is a positive. Because the shares were purchased at a lower price, this particular buy doesn't tell us much about how insiders feel about the current share price.
