Announcing the signing of a dual brand agreement between The Ritz-Carlton and Marriott Marquis

SHANGHAI, January 4, 2024 /PRNewswire/ -- Marriott International Group recently announced that it has officially signed a contract with Beijing Beichen Convention & Exhibition Investment Co., Ltd. to jointly prepare to build the third Ritz-Carlton hotel and the first Marquis Marriott Hotel in the capital. Expected to be put into operation in 2026, the Ritz-Carlton Beijing will interpret legendary service and elegant design to domestic and foreign guests, while the attentive service of Beijing Marriott Marquis Beichen complements its modern design style. Located on the central axis of Beijing, China National Convention Center Phase II — a large-scale complex for advanced conferences and exhibitions, integrating a hotel, business, and office building — the two hotels will jointly offer guests a tailor-made luxury living experience for different travel purposes.

The National Convention Center Phase II has a total construction area of about 780,000 square meters. It is a large-scale complex integrating hotels, commercial, office buildings, leisure facilities, and advanced conference and exhibition spaces. The Ritz-Carlton Beijing and the Beijing Beichen Marriott Marquis Hotel will be important components of the region. The hotel area has convenient transportation, about 20 km from Beijing Capital International Airport, and is close to classic landmarks and tourist attractions such as the National Stadium (Bird's Nest), the National Aquatics Center (Water Cube), and the China Intangible Cultural Heritage Center, which will create an immersive destination cultural tourism experience for travelers.

World-renowned design company Yabu Pushlberg Inc. has designed the interior design for The Ritz-Carlton Beijing. It will create 282 elegant and peaceful guest rooms and suites, and open six dining venues to bring guests an exquisite and elegant dining experience. At leisure, guests can enjoy the brand's rejuvenation experience by visiting the indoor pool, fitness center, and The Ritz-Carlton Spa. The total area of the hotel's banquet and conference space is 968 square meters. The conference and event equipment is fully equipped to meet the diverse needs of guests.

Beijing Marriott Marquis Beichen will create 671 elegant guest rooms and suites, and will be equipped with a range of dining options, including all-day dining, specialty restaurants, the Lobby Bar, and The Greatroom (The Greatroom). The hotel has planned a total of 3,207 square meters of banquet space, which will include a grand ballroom, two small to medium ballrooms, three separate conference rooms, and an Executive Lounge (M Club). Beijing Marriott Marquis Beichen's signature attentive service, modern design style, comfortable space, and a variety of leisure and business travel experiences allow guests to enjoy a luxurious time.
