Glonghui, January 3, 丨 Via Biotech (01873.HK) announced that according to the terms and conditions of the convertible bonds, bondholders holding convertible bonds with a total principal amount of US$136.6 million (about 48.8% of the total principal amount of the convertible bonds originally issued) have exercised their option to require the issuer to redeem all of their convertible bonds on December 30, 2023, in the amount of 103.08% of the principal amount together with accrued but unpaid interest up to that date (not including that date).
As of the announcement date, all convertible bonds have been redeemed and no convertible bonds have remained unpaid. The company has applied to the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited to withdraw the listing of the convertible bonds. The withdrawal of listing is expected to take effect after the end of business hours on January 10, 2024.
The company believes that the redemption of convertible bonds described above will not have a significant impact on the company's financial situation.
