The Zhitong Finance App learned that on December 27, the Macao Special Administrative Region Tourism Office said that according to provisional data, more than 456,000 visitors visited Macao during the four-day period from December 23 to 26, with an average of about 114,000 visitors per day, up 1.3% from the same period in 2019. The total number of visitors also increased from 450,000 in the same period in 2019.

According to relevant data, the number of visitors entering Macau during the holiday season surpassed pre-epidemic, tourism recovery was ideal, and the trend continued to grow. According to provisional data, the average occupancy rate of Macau's hotel establishments from December 23 to 26 was 90.8%, up 2.7 percentage points from November.

A series of major events continued to unfold in December. Hosted by the Macau Tourism Office, the “2023 Magic Yaohao River” has set up 36 lighting installations and 20 interactive installations at 34 locations in 7 regions across Australia to bring holiday wishes to the audience and add atmosphere. At the same time, it brings new nighttime entertainment experiences to residents and visitors, and attracts traffic to drive the economy of all regions.
