On December 27, Ge Longhui | Zheng Shang Industrial (00185.HK) issued an announcement. Due to the company's cost-efficiency factors, the board of directors failed to reach a consensus with Ernst & Young (“EY”) on the audit fee level for the Group's consolidated financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2023. At the request of the board of directors, EY has resigned as the company's auditor with effect from December 25, 2023.
Based on the recommendation of the Audit Committee, it has been decided to appoint Grant Thornton (Hong Kong) Certified Public Accountants Limited (“Grant Thornton”) as the Company's new auditor with effect from December 26, 2023 to fill the temporary vacancy after EY's resignation, for a term of office until the end of the next Annual General Meeting of Shareholders of the Company.
