According to the Zhitong Finance App, Qingjian International (01240) announced that the Group has recently been awarded two Hong Kong construction contracts, namely Hong Kong Electric Limited awarded a foundation contract (foundation contract) to an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of the company on December 18, 2023 for the foundation work of the L13 plant for the Lamma power plant expansion project; and the Hong Kong Housing Authority awarded another major contract (public housing contract) to another indirect subsidiary of the company on December 20, 2023 for construction works for the Tai Wo Hau Road Phase I and Phase II public housing development projects.
If all construction works described in these contracts are completed, the total contract value of the two contracts is expected to be approximately HK$1,387 million (including contingent payments) (contract amount). The foundation contract is expected to be completed by the end of January 2025, and the public housing contract is expected to be completed by the end of March 2027. Since the contract amount includes contingent payments, it may not necessarily be realized, so the actual contract amount obtained by the Group from such contracts may not be equal to the contract amount.
