According to the Zhitong Finance App, Rice Bug Metaverse (08645) announced that on December 15, 2023, the company acquired all shares of Guangyuan Holdings Co., Ltd. (Guangyuan Holdings) from Mr. Meng Jianqiang (Mr. Meng) at a cost of HK$50,000. Guangyuan Holdings holds Smart Digital Human Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. (Smart Digital People) through Global Chase Trade Development Co., Ltd. (Chase Global). Costs are covered by the Group's internal resources.
Following the company's focus on and experimenting with the development of businesses related to the metaverse concept, the company's board of directors believes that as digital identity carriers, virtual digital people have gradually evolved from supporting roles in the second-generation Internet (Web2.0) world to indispensable key puzzles and scenarios in the third-generation Internet (Web3.0) world, and their value continues to evolve. However, smart virtual digital people are an important technology and tool for related enterprises to deploy the third-generation Internet (Web 3.0).
After completing the acquisition, the company will further promote metaverse content development and smart virtual digital human technology and product research and development; and will use this virtual digital business expansion to promote cooperative relationships with more related metaverse projects and try to find more business opportunities and profit potential projects for the Group.
