Sumishin SBI Net Bank, Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO): Noriaki Maruyama, hereafter “Sumishin SBI Net Bank”), and Temix Green Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, President and CEO: Takumi Takahashi, a subsidiary of SBI Sumishin Net Bank, hereafter “THEMIX Green”) are working with Toshiba Corporation (headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Shimada Taro, hereafter “Toshiba”) to realize a carbon neutral society We are pleased to announce that we have signed a business partnership agreement to jointly promote the business we are aiming for.
In October of this year, SBI Sumishin Net Bank established THEMIX Green, a new company that promotes carbon credit business and forestry/forest administration DX business, and aims to contribute to maximizing forest value, reducing environmental impact, and developing a sustainable society through the creation and distribution of forest-derived carbon credits utilizing the “J-Credit System” (*) (carbon credit business) and the realization of DX transformation in forest supply chains.
Toshiba has solutions such as renewable energy (hereafter, renewable energy) systems such as solar power generation and wind power generation, energy management systems, hydrogen solutions derived from renewable energy, CO2 separation and recovery facilities, and carbon footprint visualization and traceability management using digital technology such as blockchain. Furthermore, as a group, we are developing GX Consulting Services, which provides one-stop support for customers' efforts aimed at achieving carbon neutrality.
Based on this business alliance, Sumishin SBI Net Bank, THEMIX Green, and Toshiba will combine the services of Sumishin SBI Net Bank and THEMIX Green with the various systems and solutions of the Toshiba Group to jointly propose solutions for the realization of a carbon-neutral society to local governments.
