According to the Zhitong Finance App, Carrie International (01050) released unaudited interim results for the six months ended September 30, 2023. The group obtained continuing operating income of HK$1.44 billion during the period, a year-on-year decrease of 12.51%; profit attributable to shareholders of HK$73.455 million, a year-on-year decrease of 71.69%; basic profit per share of HK3.6 cents; and a proposed interim dividend of 1.5 HK cents per share.
The announcement said that the decline in earnings was mainly due to a decrease in market demand due to the impact of the global economic slowdown, inflation and high interest rate environment. Furthermore, rising financing costs have led to a decline in marginal profit.
