According to the Zhitong Finance App, Meigaoyu (01985) released interim results for the six months ended September 30, 2023, with total revenue of approximately HK$499 million, a year-on-year decrease of 12.4%; profit attributable to company owners of HK$1,1529 million, a year-on-year decrease of 29.4%; basic profit per share of HK$0.04; and proposed interim dividends of HK$0.02 per share.
According to reports, the decline in profit was due to the fact that no government subsidies were received from the “Employment Protection” scheme implemented by the Hong Kong government of China during this period (previous period: HK$5.9 million). Excluding the impact of government subsidies, the Group's profit and total overall income remained stable.
