Glonghui November 24 | Cuihua Holdings (01314.HK) announced that with the interim results for the six months ended September 30, 2023, the Group's revenue was approximately HK$497 million, an increase of about 20.0% over the previous year. The profit attributable to the Group's owners for the period under review was approximately HK$6.7 million, compared to HK$40.9 million in the previous review period. Basic earnings per share are HK0.49 cents.
The increase in earnings was mainly due to the lifting of social distancing measures in Hong Kong, Macau and mainland China. The profit attributable to company owners recorded in the previous review period was mainly due to the proceeds from the sale of certain properties. If the relevant earnings were not taken into account, the Group would have recorded a loss, and turning a loss into a profit was mainly due to the lifting of social distancing measures in Hong Kong, Macau and Mainland China.
