The Zhitong Finance app learned that on November 16, the China Automobile Association released a brief analysis of the production and sales of new energy vehicles in October 2023. According to statistics from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, in October, production and sales of new energy vehicles reached 989,000 units and 956,000 units respectively, up 12.5% and 5.7% from the previous month, and up 29.2% and 33.5% respectively from the previous year. In January-October, production and sales of new energy vehicles reached 7.352 million units and 7.28 million units respectively, up 33.9% and 37.8% year-on-year respectively.
In October 2023, among the main types of new energy vehicles, compared with the previous month, the production and sales of the three types of new energy vehicles all showed varying degrees of increase; compared with the same period last year, the production and sales of the three types of new energy vehicles all showed double-digit growth. In January-October, among the main types of new energy vehicles, compared with the same period last year, production and sales of the three types of new energy vehicles all showed relatively rapid growth.
In October 2023, domestic sales of new energy vehicles were 832,000 units, up 2.9% month on month and 37.3% year on year. In January-October, domestic sales of new energy vehicles were 6.285 million units, up 31.4% year on year;
In October 2023, 124,000 new energy vehicles were exported, an increase of 29.3% over the previous year and an increase of 12.8% over the previous year. In January-October, 995,000 new energy vehicles were exported, an increase of 99.1% over the previous year.
