According to the Zhitong Finance App, Biyou Group (08053) released interim results for the six months ended September 30, 2023. The group obtained revenue of 639 million yuan (RMB, same below) during the period, a year-on-year decrease of 15.97%; profit attributable to shareholders of 98.755 million yuan, an increase of 2.41% over the previous year; and basic profit per share of 0.028 yuan.
According to the announcement, the group maintained a basic level of sales compared to last year by adjusting the prices of explosives for civilian use, but revenue from the blasting business declined markedly due to the governance of the downstream coal industry and the suspension of some blasting and mining projects in Tibet due to mine owners' reasons. Also, since the Group is currently carrying out a construction project to extract the gold and iron components from sulfur concentrate, the project was completed at the end of September this year, and trial production began.
