Hold Rating on Kaltura Inc. Amid Inconsistent Demand Outlook and Lower Q4 Revenue Guidance

Goldman Sachs analyst Gabriela Borges maintained a Hold rating on Kaltura (KLTRResearch Report) today and set a price target of $2.50.

Gabriela Borges’ Hold rating on Kaltura Inc.’s stock (KLTR) stems from a mix of factors. Kaltura recently reported a decent third quarter, with revenue up by 6% year-on-year and an adjusted EBITDA in the black for the first time since Q4 2020. However, Q4 revenue guidance was a touch lower than street estimates due to ongoing difficulties in the video industry. Additionally, net revenue retention (NRR) was at 101% for the quarter, an improvement on last year’s 96% and the previous quarter’s 100%.

On the other hand, the overall demand outlook remains inconsistent. Kaltura is projecting a quarter-on-quarter drop in subscription revenue in Q4. Until there’s clearer visibility on the demand situation and Kaltura’s potential to maintain stable, predictable growth, Borges is hesitant to upgrade her stance on the stock. Consequently, she maintains a Neutral rating and a $2.50 price target.
