On 29 September 2023, the company received a winding-up petition filed with the Court of first instance of the High Court of the Hong Kong Special Administrative region under the provisions of the companies (Winding-up and Miscellaneous provisions) Ordinance, Chapter 32 of the laws of Hong Kong, requiring the company to pay a total of HK $333502 in fees and accrued interest.
The petition shall be submitted to the High Court of Hong Kong only as an application for winding up the company. The High Court of Hong Kong has not issued a winding-up order to wind up the company. The first hearing of the petition is scheduled to be held in the High Court of Hong Kong at 10:00 on 6 December 2023.
The Board considered that there was a duplicate charge by the petitioner and repeatedly requested a face-to-face meeting with the petitioner so that the petitioner could explain and clarify the relevant fees, but unfortunately the petitioner always refused to attend. In view of the above, the company is seeking legal advice to determine possible action in relation to the petition.
