Meta lawsuits, Bud Light-UFC, bitcoin: Top Stories

Meta Platforms (META) faces lawsuits from 42 U.S. attorney generals over the addictive nature of Facebook and Instagram for teen users. Anheuser-Busch's (BUD) landmark beer Bud Light will be replacing Modelo as the chief sponsor of the UFC. Lastly, bitcoin hovers below $34,000 at the end of the day Tuesday as investor sentiment drove crypto prices to surge on enthusiasm for pending SEC approval on a spot bitcoin ETF.

JOSH LIPTON: It's closing time here at Yahoo Finance. Here's a look at some of the top stories of the day.

Let's start with Meta, facing more lawsuits from 42 attorneys general. This is a bipartisan group targeting the social media giant, alleging Facebook and Instagram are addictive and targeting kids. And it's not the first time a broad coalition of state attorneys general have teamed up to go after Meta. In 2020, remember, 48 states and territories sued the company on antitrust grounds.

Meanwhile, Anheuser-Busch reportedly securing a major sponsorship deal with UFC. The brewers brands, including Bud Light, will replace Modelo, which has overtaken Bud Light as the top beer in America. The multiyear global agreement is set to begin in January. It's according to Bloomberg.

And Bitcoin climbing above 35,000. Earlier optimism over a spot bitcoin ETF driving those gains. And the moves also driving shares of Coinbase sharply higher on the day.
